MySpace as an Internet Tool
What does MySpace Do?
MySpace is a popular online space where you can maintain correspondence with people and groups of people whom also have a MySpace account (which is free). You can sign up for a MySpace account by submitting your email and creating a password. This creates page just for you that you make to look how to want it to and can allow only certain people to see it and leave their comments on it. On your MySpace page you can send and receive messages, comments and bulletins which can include photos, videos and other uploaded material. There are many other aspects to MySpace such as previewing music, creating groups and blogs and checking the news, horoscope, sports among other things. MySpace helps the user organize their friends and socialize.  A popular feature of MySpace is the ability for a user to leave their two cents on their friends’ pages.
The Strengths of MySpace:
Some strengths which MySpace embodies include the ability of the user to send mass communication to other MySpace users. According to Alexa; the Web Information Company, MySpace is the third most popular website in the United States, meaning that if you join it is likely that you will know people on the site (whom you can search for by email). The site allows you to maintain communication with many people in the privacy of your own home and on your own time.
The Weaknesses of MySpace:
Security becomes an issue when millions of people are able to view your website and see everything you post (however, you can change your settings to private so that only the people whom you choose as your friends can see your site). It is possible for spyware to enter into your computer from MySpace.  Also, having friends on the internet is not as personal, in-depth and honest as in real life. Stalking and other inappropriate relationships thrive in MySpace but healthy discretion lowers your susceptibility.

In Conlusion MySpace has many social and networking benefits, but dangers as well. You can always try it and delete your account if you don't like it.
